"To remain among the world's best educated readers, English speakers must have access to the world's great literatures."

The love fest for translated literature continues on Meet At The Gate with the addition of Three Percent to our blogroll. A project of the University of Rochester's translation programme and press, the aim of Three Percent is to bring the best modern and contemporary world literature to literary enthusiasts.

The contributors to the site are no less enthused, reviewing and recommending books that sound as beautiful as they look (a compliment to the designers, to be sure). While we can't speak for everyone, we think Three Percent does exactly what it sets out to do - bringing the best of world literature to English speakers. We're definitely keen to get our hands on The Confessions of Noa Weber, The Armies, The Skating Rink... you get the idea.

(Don't forget to jot down those names in the Icelandic literature posts! We've already made a wishlist.)
