This week's site is more a visually-appealing literary project than a standalone site. Photo Stories comes courtesy of Notes From the Underground, a London-based creative writing paper. It's pretty early days yet for this project, but we’ve long been hearing rumours about it on the media grapevine, so we've been looking for an excuse to talk about Photo Stories for a wee while!
The premise is simple. Give a writer a photo - an unusual, visually ambiguous photo - and let them write something, anything. The first two stories are centred around family, but they are anything but alike; kind of like the photos that were their inspiration!
We think Photo Stories has great potential to be an inspired collaboration between photographers and writers, budding or established. So much so that we're itching to get our own cameras out and get snapping.
