The Paris Review is one of the truly seminal literary magazines, with each issue packed full of material new and old from some of the greatest writers of modern times. The question on the media’s lips at the moment is how long it will be before magazine publishing moves totally online, and while we hope that The Paris Review has a long and healthy life ahead of it, we’re delighted that their website is already one of the best literary magazine sites around.

Not only does The Paris Review website boast a wonderful repository of written pieces, including the legendary Interview series, but it also offers audio clips of authors reading from their work - Paul Auster this month - and showcases all the artwork in their print series too. Plus it’s the place to get a Paris Review bag – surely a key entry requirement to the literati fan club.

So for guaranteed quality, loads of fresh content and flying the flag for the short story, The Paris Review definitely gets our stamp of approval. Isn’t it about time to give it yours too?

A splendid choice. One of my absolute favourites too!

I'm surprised you never mentioned your own volumes of The Paris Review Interviews, which are second only to the website
