As far as meaty and satisfying online literary magazines go, the California Literary Review is up there with the best of them.

Fiction, non-fiction, interviews and essays all have a place on the front page, and the selection is impressive. Find out what the editors think of the latest thriller by Patricia Cornwell. Discover what kind of disasters the Earth has suffered and what should we do (what can we do?) if a very large asteroid heads our way? And, in 'The Year of Astronomy', learn about history's most famous astronomer than by reading a brief biography of Galileo and looking at some on-topic fine art – what better way to bring history to life?

It's all there at the California Literary Review - a site well-worth bookmarking and a Twitter feed (@calitreview) worth following.
