By way of excellent current affairs and culture site The Morning News comes another site we are envious of this week: The Second Pass. One knows not exactly why it is called The Second Pass, but we suspect it's because they review books old and new, giving backlist titles a second (or third) lease of life, extending the long tail and other such catch phrases.
Our favourite section of all the very interesting sections is The Shelf, where readers recommend books they love. In what is quite the coincidence, Ranylt in Ottawa, Canada recommends Zamyatin's We - as does Ben Fletcher-Watson who has hopped on our own Literature World Tour.
As literary online zines go, The Second Pass has started with a huge bang. We look forward to watching it grow.
