Ah, youth!

The founder of The Splinter Generation defines it (loosely) as those between the ages of 15 and 35. But more specifically, it applies to anyone who wishes to relate to those who they wouldn't ordinarily communicate with. There is an extensive explanation of what 'splinter generation' means on their About page, and we think it hits the nail right on the head.

Meet the young soldier who was severely injured in Iraq ('An interview with Lance Corporal Jason Poole') and read creative fiction, non-fiction and poetry. While not everything on the site is a work of genius, there are real gems to be found on The Splinter Generation. This is how we discover that the youth of today is not all shoot-'em-up gun- (or knife-) totin' hooligans. It’s great to see that there are a huge number of young adults who are seeking each other out - complete strangers - to try and establish an understanding with one another to create a more emotionally- and creatively-connected world.

The Splinter Generation has a vision! We encourage you to explore it.
