Here are Canongate we’re big fans of the short story. They often get a bad press in sales terms but we believe they’re alive and well and two recent collections of ours – No One Belongs Here More Than You by Miranda July and The Boat by Nam Le – are testament to that in terms of both sales and critical accolades.  

And so we are heartened that there’s a place on the web dedicated to highlighting the best there is in short story writing. The Short Review site proprietor Tania Hershman should be well-known to those who patronise literary blogs with any regularity - she is extremely active on the scene, and though her site may only just be celebrating its first anniversary, her love and passion for the short story have already brought The Short Review Internet acclaim.

In short (pardon the pun), with interviews, reviews and features in abundance this is definitely the place to go if you want to keep your finger on the short story pulse.
