The profile of fiction in translation seems to have plummeted in the UK in recent years, but the joys of sensitively, intelligently translated prose should not be forgotten. Which is where BookTrust’s Translated Fiction site comes in. Launched earlier this year, the site is a guide to the best translations around. Bookworms are able to read reviews and recommendations of the latest translations available for sale, as well as interviews with authors whose work has been translated into English and for those interested in the actual work of translation there's a blog by Daniel Hahn, who is currently working on a novel by José Eduardo Agualusa, Estação das Chuvas.
