What brought you to this website? For me, it was reading Thomas Glavinic's book 'Night Work' which is a Canongate publication. I'm still only half way through but I love it so much I had to look it up on the net and here I am. It's weird how we all look stuff up on the net now. If you look at some of the bizarre things people type into search engines you'll find things like 'crazy paving', 'mucus', 'wedgies' and 'Barry Manilow'. It doesn't get any weirder than that last one. Anyway, try Glavinic's book; it is truly chilling. I am a bit of a writer myself (don't ask which bit!). I have had some short stories, articles etc published. I was even a storyline writer for UK TV soap 'Emmerdale' for a while but don't hold that against me. Anyone else write? We could compare notes. Thanks for reading this. Got to go now; Barry Manilow is throwing stones at my window again.

Hi there
If you go to books in the left navigation menu and search for Glavinice (the author) you'll be able to find the book. Alternatively follow this link:

Nice post - sounds like a good book.
I just tried searching for it, both on this site and in google though - where can I find out more about it? A search for Glavinic can;t find anything on cannongate...
